optional delivery not working

So I have windows 7 and Microsoft security essentials. I have probably updated manually too much, and now I get a screen message when I log in about optional delivery not working in Microsoft security essentials. I have to hit escape to go to the second log in screen where it says jaws is ready and the windows sound plays. After the initial screen, I guess the message of optional delivery not working is on the screen and it sits for quite a while. I have to hit escape or refresh to go on. Any suggestions as to how I can make optional delivery in Microsoft essentials work again? I have jaws 15. I have a 64 bit machine.

Optional delivery? *looks lost*

MS SE just loads at startup and does its thing.

Are you sure it is MSE?
Also, why did you feel you needed to update it manually?
If so, remove it, and reinstall it fresh.
That will solve the problem.
Than let it alone.
It works. You might check it now and than, but other whise it will do its job.

optional delivery happens when Microsoft thinks your computer is a unlisens windows computer. I have seen this issue arise on my wife's bootcamp and soon need to fix it with a windows disk I bought. I hope they allow at least two installs.

Suppose she just went to Validate Windows on the Microsoft website? That is what I use when I want to validate windows?
In the search box type Windows Validation tool.
Have you recently had some work done where something major was changed?

What's strange is that I had someone come in here a month ago who made windows update work again and had no problem until now when I moved a piece of email to somewhere called tree container. That validating windows sounds like a good idea; I won't look at manual delivery for MSE again. I did note that Eric who fixed this computer with windows updates asked if there wer any problems and he usually doesn't ask. Will contact him again if this issue won't resolve.

Sometimes changes cause the computer to have a different locking code.
Microsoft gives people a couple months to register, so that might be the issue.

So I have downloaded this validating windows file and the computer says it doesn't know what program created it. Still stuck I think. I tried 3 or 4 downloads from the Microsoft site and none can open to validate windows. any ideas?

You went directly to Microsoft download center and got the validation tool?
If so, you are having odd issues that I personally couldn't suggest a fix without seeing the machine.
I'd call Microsoft directly and have them fix it for me.
You have done this before.

sound like something with your key got screwed up, which MS will be able to fix for you.

:) I said this a few post above, my wife's bootcamp is doing the same exact issue but I am the dork who loaded her windows on her mac.

This was an easy fix for a change. Eric who put this computer in got on team viewr and called an 800 number for microsoft. He got a new key or code he said. There is now a document on my computer that has a picture of the fix in case it happens again called emergency.doc. When he validated windows, the 800 number popped in for him to call. When I tried validating, I saw the phone system option to get the problem fixed, but chickened out and let a sighted person do the job. HTH.
